The Crest of Chicylia
Mistress Chicylia maintains dozens of necromantic estates scattered across various Realities in the Multiverse. It is rumored she even holds a couple of small pocket dimensions that are not on the charts. Such vast property requires a massive workforce to maintain which Chicylia has arranged through various means over the centuries. Some of her estates lie fallow until needed, others are maintained by spell enthralled slaves, and still others are kept in order and protected by Undead minions. It would be unmanageable for an eccentric like Chicylia if it were not for the skills of her Head of Household, Seneschal Karn
Seneschal Karn[]
The human known only as Karn has served as her Head of Household and principle Chief of Staff for 300 years and is known by the title Seneschal. Karn is his only name as he is a ninth generation slave whose family line has been in the service of the Mistress for centuries. Karn's entire life has been spent in the castles, mansions, and estates of Mistress Chicylia. It is unknown how Karn caught his Mistress' eye and she selected him to take over at Seneschal when she dispatched the previous one but it is believed he may have been a farrier or a carpenter in his first assignment. Since being appointed Seneschal Karn has proven more than adequate to the task. Th estates are in good working order and servants are now rotated between them according to skills and the needs of the property. Senechal Karn most recently delighted his Mistress by replacing a human estate staff with a small horde of zombies in response to locals becoming too nosy.. Seneschal Karn is conditionally immortal in that Mistress Chicylia keeps him alive and may withdraw this sustenance whenever she wishes.
Special Event Staff Characters[]
These staff character bios are for a Player Characters available at the Occularium; A Gathering of Villains special LARP event and as such is available to reserve for play with the purchase of an event ticket. Staff Characters are less expensive event tickets as the players will be actually doing a little light cleaning and chair shuffling in character. The above information is considered obtainable knowledge of the Character by other Staff Characters and at the completion of the Occularium event this Character wiki will be updated for future use as source material. In the event these Characters may be adopted for regular play by an event participant the future development of these Character bios will be their privilege.
House Servant- Ambitious Staffer[]
The Ambitious Staffer desires to move forward in Chicylia’s service. While some may see Chycilia’s service as a prison they see it as opportunity. Working under a powerful Multiverse entity and feared villain means a purpose and security. The Ambitious Staffer believes they can make serious impression on Chicylia and earn a supervisor position at one of her estates or even the Seneschal position itself someday.
House Servant- Willing Thrall[]
Many servants struggle and resist the will of Chicylia but the Willing Thrall succumbs to it gleefully, finally a worthy mistress to control the Willing Thrall’s existence and give them purpose and protection in a unpredictable Multiverse. The Thrall sees Chicylia’s mad outburst and personality as proof of her genius and lives to serve her.
House Servant- Mischievous Meddler[]
Mistress Chicylia’s staff is enormous in its entirety and the Seneschal is always moving staff around and reassigning people between estates. It’s made the Mischievous Meddler an easier time of surviving in servitude. The first rule of being on house staff is learn how to pin mistakes on others and stir drama between your competition.
House Servant- Clever Opportunist[]
Service under Chicylia is what you make of it. Being enslaved to a immortal being of immense dark power means getting to witness and learn from that power. To absorb and learn as much of those skills, secrets, and influences that make her power makes the Clever Opportunist powerful. Some day that knowledge will be the path to freedom.
House Servant- Lost Soul[]
The Lost Soul is one of hundreds of brain wiped humans who have no understanding how they got where they are and what they were before entering Mistress Chicylia's service. The Lost Soul is confused as to why they're being tasked with serving the Mistress directly. Is it a game to place a servant in such a position to fail so they could then be subjected to cruel tortures' as punishment.? The Lost Soul is determined to survive and regain their lost memories.
