The Prioress is one of the most greatly feared villains in the House of Rods. Their vampire nature is only a the first thing to fear for the shape shifting abilities of the Prioress are legend. Even more insidious is their ability to infiltrate faith based hierarchy for the purpose of recruitment. The Prioress has corrupted the souls of hundreds of powerful clerics across a myriad of religions and dimensions leading to either infiltration of these faiths by the House of Rods or the complete collapse of religions too threatening to be left existing. The ability of The Prioress to scavenge talented clergy from their native church and into the embrace of dark powers has made them the ideal Queen of Rods for centuries. Growing the House like a garden and adding fresh growth when needed. The Prioress has out lasted the last three Kings of Rods and will no doubt survive the current King. The Prioress has their own agenda and outside of a true faith in the Seven Tenets keeps their politics close.
The Prioress is an aged vampire whose shape shifting ability and years of studying the ways of religious societies has crafted them into the perfect religious infiltrator. The role of Queen of Rods seems to almost be a functionary one merely giving this being amusement and yet the fervor of the Prioress' belief in the Tenets suggests something deeper.
